Are BYU online high school courses a good fit for adult learners?

A friend of mine is thinking about enrolling in BYU’s online high school courses to complete her diploma. However, she’s feeling uncertain about whether this is the best option for her. As a busy working mom, she needs a program that offers the flexibility to fit into her hectic schedule. With so many educational choices out there, it’s hard to determine if this path will truly benefit her future.

I’ve come across mixed feedback regarding these courses. Some people find them self-paced and easy to manage, while others argue that the content can be shallow and lacking in support. For someone like my friend, who appreciates having some structure in her learning yet still needs flexibility, I’m curious if this program could actually work for her.

Has anyone here taken BYU online high school courses? What was your experience? Do you think these courses prepare students well for further education or career opportunities?
