Best online UX research courses for beginners?

With so many online UX research courses available, it can be tough to figure out which ones are truly beginner-friendly. While several popular platforms are frequently recommended, I’m wondering if they really cover the basics effectively.

Have any of you taken online UX research courses that helped you understand the fundamentals? I’m particularly looking for courses that strike a balance between theory and practical exercises or projects.

Do you think it’s worth paying for a course, or can free resources provide a solid foundation? I’d love to hear your thoughts and any course recommendations you might have!

I took a beginner UX research course on Coursera that had a good mix of theory and hands-on projects, and it was pretty affordable too. If you want to save money, I’d check out Google’s free resources; they cover a lot of basics and include some practical tips. Just depends on how deep you want to dive!
