Is the 10th Edition of College Writing Skills with Readings Useful?

There’s been a lot of discussion about the 10th edition of ‘College Writing Skills with Readings,’ and I’m wondering if it’s a good choice to improve my writing skills. Balancing several MOOCs in data science, I often find that writing concepts are covered too quickly, leaving me wanting more in-depth guidance.

Has anyone here used this edition? I’d love to hear how it stacks up against other writing resources. Is it detailed enough for someone looking to enhance both their academic and professional writing abilities? Are there particular chapters or sections that you found particularly helpful?

I’m also curious about the book’s approach—does it include practical exercises, or does it lean more towards theory? Does it cater well to adult learners? I appreciate any insights you might have!

I checked out the 10th edition, and it’s decent but felt a bit surface-level for me. The exercises were okay, but I was hoping for more in-depth stuff—especially when you’re juggling MOOCs. You might find a better fit with resources that dive deeper into the concepts rather than just skim through them.
