What criteria do you use to choose online adult education courses?

With an abundance of online adult education courses available, finding the right one can feel daunting. There are so many platforms offering topics ranging from UX design to photography that it’s hard to know where to focus your time and money. Recommendations from friends are helpful, but I often wonder how they made their selections in the first place.

For those who have taken online courses, what factors influenced your decisions? Did you prioritize specific accreditations, the backgrounds of the instructors, or reviews from fellow students? How significant was course flexibility in your evaluation?

I’m currently looking to enhance my skills in UX design, and I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences. What has worked for you in choosing a course?

I usually check out reviews first, but I also look for courses that offer real projects instead of just theory—makes a huge difference in understanding stuff. Have you considered looking at portfolios of the instructors? Sometimes that tells you a lot about how practical their teaching will be.

I usually check if the course has good reviews on places like Reddit or Trustpilot before diving in. For my last UX design course, the instructor’s portfolio really sold me—seeing their real-life projects made it feel way more legit. Flexibility is a must too; I can hardly ever stick to a strict schedule!
